The R1 is the rechargeable battery for the Petzl NAO RL head torch. Carry a spare and you can double your run time on ultras, long races and winter nights on the hill.
It's a 3200 mAh lithium-ion battery that charges by USB-C in about 3.5 hours, with a five-level gauge so you always know how much is left. It has its own red light for visibility from behind, with a separate button for continuous or strobe mode. It's waterproof to IPX7 and can even top up your phone or watch in an emergency.
