The CORE is Petzl's rechargeable battery for its Hybrid Concept head torches. Keep one as a spare in your pack, or use it to swap a AAA-powered head torch over to rechargeable power and stop buying batteries.
It's a 1250 mAh lithium-ion battery that charges straight from a USB-C port in about 3.5 hours. A light on the battery shows red while charging and green when it's full. It copes well in the cold, and Petzl says one CORE battery does the work of around 900 standard batteries over its life.
